This article from the Guardian suggests that the Tories electoral campaign may have hit trouble. Criticisms of David Cameron's background and political inconsistency appear to have hit home with some voters, and a recent
opinion poll cut the Conservative lead to six points. If voting behaviour remained like this on election day it could quite likely lead to a hung parliament. What's your opinion of the current state of play between the main parties?
David Cameron seems really insincere to me and other people are probably getting that too.
ReplyDeleteLiz Andrew: "What do I think?" she wonders, half-glaring at Cameron's portrait. "Slimeball. He represents the kind of smarmy upper-middle-classness I don't like, really. I've never been a fan. I wouldn't put my trust in him, put it that way."

I think people are finally realising that although a Labour government is bad, the Conservatives would be worse!! And after all, can that really be a bad thing...?
ReplyDeletehmmmmm maybe. But people want change. Labour have been in for too long. People are thinking it couldn't get much worse. Besides, how bad could a Tory government make things in 4/5 years? If the electorate really don't like them they could elect a different party at the following election. Besides if people really hate it, Labour would be well placed to hold a vote of no confidence. It will be interesting to see the results of the election, after all both parties are pretty much centre on ALL issues now. But we'll see in a few months. A hung parliament would be interesting to see.
