The Battle of Bosworth may be in the
wrong place! For many years people believed the battle was fought on Ambion Hill in Leicestershire, and an impressive
visitor centre has been built there commemmorating the event. Archaeologists now believe the battle took place a mile away, on marshy ground, and have been given £1 million by the National Lottery to look for evidence. Is it worth the bother? Is it important to be in exactly the right spot or is retelling the story for the benefit of the tourists sufficient?
